We use “mythicals” for people who understand themselves to be mythical beings like kitsune or vampires. They might say they are that being or identify as it.
How does that relate to otherkin?
There’s overlap with otherkin and some people use both words. You’ll also see “mythicals” in supernatural and shapeshifter communities. The meaning depends on who’s using it.
Who’s welcome here?
Mythicals, otherkin, therians and other alterhumans are all welcome. That includes people who describe themselves as physical shapeshifters.
